This is an old 1800’s cattle barn that was used for livestock up until 1966. This barn was a shelter for cattle and hogs giving birth to their young.
Today, it is a shelter for young and old alike. This old barn gives a safe place for CrossTies to have events for families and teens. (Check out all of our events in the other areas of this website.)
We are still in the process of renovating the barn. It takes a lot of financial support and many hours of work to continue the renovation. Funds are and can be donated by individuals and churches. Some of the work completed on the barn is by paid contractors, but a lot of it is completed through volunteer help.
The Barn and nearby campground offer a unique place for many events. The campground contains a pond and a lake with an island. The Barn is now fully heated and cooled. It contains a loft with theater seating for 300 people as well as a stage, sound and light systems. There is also seating for 200 people and a kitchen downstairs. In the silo are five rooms able to be used for various agendas. The entire area, which also contains a natural amphitheater, is a great place for retreats, conferences, weddings and any other appropriate outings.
Take a look at the changes we have made starting from the original cattle barn and ending with the CrossTies Barn!
