CrossTies Christian Ministries is a community-based, not-for-profit charitable organization that calls an old 1800's renovated cattle barn, that is still under construction, its home. Our prayer is that this barn and grounds be used as an instrument to tie together God and people from all walks of life. National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY
CrossTies has put together something special in lieu of our September, 2008 Gospel Sing. It seems that it's always hard to find good groups to come to The Barn in September because of the National Quartet Convention that takes place every year on that weekend. This year, instead of trying to get some talent to come to The Barn, we are going to take "The Barn" to where the talent is!

It's almost time! The National Quartet Convention is just around the corner. I wanted to drop you all a line with the proposed itinerary. Please arrive at the Barn on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. Illinois time. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Lakeview, located at 505 Marriott Drive, Clarksville, Indiana. The telephone numbers are 800/544-7075 and 812/283-4411. Dress is casual for everything. Ladies, your capris will be appropriate and for men jeans are fine too. However, you will probably see all types of attire at the convention. Tony and I are very excited about this trip as it has been several years since we have attended. Upcoming Events!
On August 31st we will hold our annual Talent Night at the Barn at 6:00 p.m. IL time, 7:00 p.m. IN time.
Our September Gospel Sing will be, of course, at the National Quartet Convention. Yes, it's coming that fast!
On October 18th we will have our final Gospel Sing of the season at the Barn. The Sonshiners, from Tazewell, Indiana will be singing. The Sonshiners have always been a perennial favorite here at the Barn, and this year should not disappoint.
Immediately preceeding the Sing we will be serving concessions. The normal fare will be available again this year, as we had a good response to our menu last summer which included burgers, chili dogs, polish sausages, sides, and plenty of pie and ice cream. Come hungry for some good food and a good time, and you'll definitely leave satisfied.
Teen Nights are cancelled until further notice.
Twenty-one miles South of Interstate 70 on Illinois State Highway 1, and thirty-one miles North of US Highway 50 on Illinois State Highway 1 to the Annapolis Road. West 4¼ miles on the Annapolis Road to CrossTies Christian Ministries at Hickory Holler Campground on the North side of the road.
